In-game progress, achivements and reward system?

  • 3

Hi all.

Just a suggestion for something that could raise awareness and usage of the platform even further.

How about adding a system that makes you track progress in-game, such as League of Legends or CS:GO, or any other for that matter.

I know most gamers love achivements and being able to track their progress along - this would potentially add a lot of new users. A way of doing it could be linking give-aways/rewards based on a progress or achievement level.

What do you guys think :)?

I believe it might be difficult.

From technical point of view it will require to use server capacities to store and process data of all linked accounts in order to track progress. Load might be not that bad, but you have to synchronise game data and server data. For this you probably will need a client of alienware arena on your pc.

And probably another thing might arise. One probably need to discuss it with game developers to add this feature. Maybe there is no such thing, but it can be that way.

So in other words, it is harder to do than we might imagine. But I might be wrong.

I myself am a software developer, so i know the difficulties.

But maybe Alienware would be interested in doing something difficult to gain a lot of activity and advertisement for their platform :)

This is a suggestion subforum - so it is just a suggestion.

A lot of applications have overlay programs running, in which you are able to track users progress - and the difficulty of implementation can vary a lot - from hours played in a game to number of different games launched to tracking Steam achievements (by linking with steam in your profile). It can be done in many different ways.

I for one, would think of this as a enchancing feature of this web platform, which could lead to a big increase in numbers of active users and hours spend on the platform.
