Please stop those "editor" quests!

  • 50

So, since recently members have to write a piece about game-related stuff to earn some daily ARP. Unfortunately on those days, the game news section of the forum is filled with garbage! angry I still remember the early days that I got to be a member of the Alienware Arena community and boy, what have I spend time to read all the rules about how to post a game-related post. I can still remember that it said that copied articles from the original website (or any other sites) would get deleted instantly. Back then I didn't really read ((a lot of) copy/paste articles. But oh boy (again) ... what are the standards to write an article lowered nowadays! Now we get posts like this:

and many, many more!

Or double posts ...

I don't know, but am I the only one who thinks that there are no standards anymore to write a piece??? frown More than half of the articles are just copy/pastes from other websites. Nothing is original anymore. And as you can see in the above screenshots there are even posts that don't say anything at all! Well done moderators or whoever is responsible to keep this forum a high-level gaming information platform. sad

SUGGESTION

So ... back to the essence ... please stop doing those "editor" quests! They only give us more and more garbage pieces, or whatever you want to call them because they are mostly not even the name article worthy!

Best regards,
a loyal member

Quests shouldn't encourage spamming and reward poeple for it.

"Converse and be merry" is kinda fine, because the spam is mostly contained in the solving topic, but the editor quest is really bad.

That's exactly my first thought when I arrived on the "editor" link. That's, definitively, the quickest way to destroy news section.

This.

Well said! The News section should be properly used by people that really have some Gaming News to post.
I've said it before, the ARP System NEEDS to be revamped in various way. This is NOT a proper way. Gaming News section will be filled with spammy posts every time this happens.

I agree 100%
Not only people create low quality news but also they're kind of a pita to make
