Hello everyone, quick question if anyone can help me, I will be very grateful. I own an Alienware 18 (ALW18-3006sLV) and bought an Intel Core i7-4940MX (SR1PP) to start the upgrading process, while I find other components. However, despite the new CPU fits in the socket (G3), all I got was a "7 beep" code at startup. I upgraded the BIOS to the latest available (A15) but the result is the same, so I returned to the i7-4900MQ that was originally installed. Am I missing/forgetting some step?
