Rockstar buys Ruffian Games, developer of Crackdown 2

Rockstar, developer of the GTA franchise, Bully and others bought Ruffian Games, developer of the Crackdown franchise, after the purchase of the developer Rockstar decided to rename from Ruffian Games to Rockstar Dundee, supposed standard for all Rockstar games.

The name change was made on the 6th, being Tuesday of last week,
according to a British government record, Ruffian Games was already working with Rockstar 1 year ago on games for the current and next generation of consoles.

In 2009, Ruffian was formed with a history of collaborating with Microsoft over the past decade,
Ruffian Games also made games in addition to Crackdown 2 like Kinect Playfit and Fragmental for Kinect.

Ruffian also collaborated with other developers who also developed for Kinect such as: Terminal Reality (Kinect Star Wars), Rare (Kinect Sports Rivals) and Sumo Digital (Nike + Kinect Training).
