RTX 3070 Founder's Edition 3rd Party benchmark results are in.

The reviews are coming in concerning the RTX 3070 Founder's Edition GPU that releases on the 29th of October. The promise Nvidia gave us regarding the RTX 3070 was that we would get top tier Turing performance at a $499 price. A mighty bold claim considering that the RTX 2080 TI Founder's Edition manufactures suggested retail price (MRSP) is still a whopping $1,199.00 USD. So what has been the result?

It looks like the RTX 3070 Founders Edition is the winner!***

*** Actual results are a bit more complicated. Numerus 3rd Parties are singing the praises of the RTX 3070 however their testing shows that Nvidia is sort-of telling the truth and that the numbers are a little off.

From Ars Technica , Tom's Hardware, and PC Mag, the exact numbers show a that the gap between the 3070 FE and the 2080TI FE is very close with the 3070 FE just failing slightly behind the 2080TI. However, the numbers show between a 10~15% increase over the 2080 Super FE (MRSP $699.00 USD). This is pretty amazing considering that it is $200 USD cheaper than the 2080 Super FE and more than Half-Off of the 2080TI FE. This GPU has the ability to truly shake up the gaming market.

The only claim that can not be currently verified is that the RTX 3070 FE will be able to have better performance with DLSS 3.0 over the 2080TI FE. Currently DLSS 3.0 has be delayed and will be released at a later date.

While there may be tons of questions, my only question is this. How will AMD respond? With the AMD Radeon 6000 series event on October 28. Nvidia is clearly pushing on AMD to show their hand. One thing we all can be sure of. This is nothing but good news for investors where (a hair shy away from) 2080TI performance is no longer out of reach.

This is also on top with Alienware's previous announcement of becoming and AIB partner in regards to the RTX 3000 series and having specialized cooling solutions for them. This will clearly drive the price of the specific desktops down.
