ETS2-ATS are getting an overhauled photo mode

Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator are getting an overhaul of the photo mode. It is nothing over the top but it will certainly give players a better way of taking those wonderful pictures.

Sometimes it's hard to find that perfect moment to take that perfect shot of your truck and the background or surroundings. You have to wait for that particular moment of the day to get the best lighting possible or you can make use of the console, hidden behind the ² button above the TAB button. 

The console gives you the ability to use a whole bunch of commands. Those commands let you change a variety of things in the game and two of those things are weather and time.  A complete list of the usable commands can be found in this Steam guide, written by Pheon. An important thing to know here is that when you change something through the console, you change it for the whole game. Meaning that when you change f.e. the time from 2 am to 1 pm (and you don't change it back), you will most probably arrive too late with your cargo. 

SCS Software now wants to make things simple by implementing the changing of the weather and/or time into the photo mode itself. Two new buttons will appear in the photo mode, starting from update 1.41. One button for the weather and one for the time. That way it will be much easier for players to change the time and weather conditions to their liking. On top of that, they will not have to change it back before they leave the photo mode. When returning to the game, time and weather conditions will be as before. That way the player doesn't need to be afraid of arriving too late with their cargo. 

Starting from the upcoming update 1.41 players will have a way better experience in taking pictures. The fact that you can change time and the weather conditions, will give them the opportunity to take that fantastic shot whenever they want. No more playing around with the console. Just a few clicks on the right buttons and there you go.

Maybe this isn't what some players are waiting for? Comments reveal some small-minded people who say that this is nothing new. That this feature could as well just been left out of the game since it's already in there, by making use of the console. And on the other side of it, there are a lot of die-hard fans who realize that this implementation is another way for SCS Software to make things easy (or easier) for their player base. That is the key here. No matter how big or small the new feature may be, SCS Software is always thinking of their fans, their players, their customers.
