My computer bluescreened with a drive error that for some reason also changed the boot device order- that has been fixed.
The part that hasn't been fixed, is that ever since then, Alienware Command Center required 10+ clicks to open fully, and even then it would open to only the game library.
I've uninstalled it, and now the installer fails to complete, as "the wizard was interrupted before the install could be completed" is the error I get now.
I've deleted every file, folder and registry entry related to AWCC and its dependencies, and still nothing.
Update 1
I was able to get it installed, after going through every installer available on the website the only one that worked was the one that used the old installer from April, not the Alienware Command Center Installer Manager.
However, it will not update. It goes through the process, appears to finish, stops the AWCC service, and when I inevitably have to restart it manually, the updates start again as if they were never applied.
The components are all there, but every time I open AWCC it wants to update, which then fails.
Update 2
Breakdown of what's happened
Yesterday my computer bluescreened with a KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR
Restarted with little to no issue, until i tried to start awcc- it wouldn't load
Tried reinstalling, it proceeded to fail, even after following all dell/alienware recommended steps
Ran a dskchk on both my boot drive and my secondary drive, but the secondary was my problem
Ran several repair programs that claimed to fix the issue but running dskchk revealed it was not fixed
Tried a SupportAssist repair, it failed
Tried a SupportAssist OS restore, it also failed
Tried a SupportAssist OS Recovery, it ended up wiping my pc and now I have no recovery media or backups and both drives are fried
