Next-gen zombie L4D'like survival co-op awesomeness? 

Personally, I really hope it's not just a straight action, L4D-style FPS, because I can't say I'd be particularly interested in that.  I'd actually love something a little more nuanced, something open world and intensely atmospheric, with a healthy amount of action, both small scale firefights and chaotic bloodbath insanity, peppered throughtout.  I hear 'John Carpenter' and I immediately think about Generation Zero, a game that had tons of ambience - in large part thanks to its synth-y Carpenter-esque music - but was just a little too empty for its own good.  I love to see someone else take a crack at that model, keeping the sizable open world and the eerie atmosphere, as well the almost unsettling quiet while traveling and exploring, but then add an actual John Carpenter score and bursts of the intense action from this trailer, and I'm willing to give it a shot.

That, or make it an exclusively PvE extraction shooter.  Like Left 4 Dead meets Escape from Tarkov, minus the PvP, plus a John Carpenter soundtrack.  I'd happily take that.
