I taste like crunchy toejam sauteed in vinegar.

I realized it's been OVER A YEAR since I last made a relay complaining about the slower earn rates with the Twitch widget after midnight UTC. 😬

My advice for people that I introduced to AWA has been: Avoid the first 1/3 of a UTC day to earn your Twitch ARP faster with Hive streamers (ARP/0.4 = minutes 🤓).

What's the consensus in the community on how long AWA's widget for Twitch remains erratic after midnight UTC? ⏲️

First 1/4, 1/3, or 1/2 of the day?

Since I'm usually asleep at night in the USA 😴, I haven't done testing to narrow down how many hours it really needs for the earn rate to stabilize back to normal after midnight UTC. It could just be the first quarter of the day. 🕒

My (anecdotal) experience is that device type and widget type have an effect. Mobile web with the old widget seems fine, where desktop with the old widget is slow. New widget is generally slow. Erratic is definitely a good description.

<mention>ma3ajm</mention> - Thanks. Been a year since I tested both versions of the widget with desktop, mobile, and app. I'll try to make time to test again using Twitch mobile site and a streamer using old-style AWA widget (panel ext).

They do it on purpose so huh

I never related it to the time of day. I just thought it was, as you said, erratic. I usually do it right at reset and sometimes the timer is right on sometimes it takes 3 hours for all 30 ARP.

The thing I noticed was when I swap artifacts, I'll get the first 15 ARP, then when I put Pn295 back for the second 15 ARP it is always the right amount of time.

Yeah, I still dgi. Sometimes it goes fast. Sometimes not. Today? Watched for 2 hours starting at 7 pm EST (12:00 UTC). Done by 9:00 pm EST. On Sunday? Started at 8 pm. By 10 pm I had only ~10 arp for 2 hours of watching. Same broadcaster.

I have a theory that the widget sends the data correctly but never verifies it was received on the servers. So any network errors during busy hours would mean updates get dropped in the Cloud which makes it seem slower.

I've also noticed AWA website errors during that same time period which make me think the data is getting dropped and not reaching the servers.

What I've noticed is that the x2 setting is the fastest of all, and ARP gains tend to be smoother on Mondays. Sometimes a streamer stops providing ARP even though they still appear in the recommended list
