i got an email yesterday with the opening line, "oi pervert we have proof" blah blah blah . it was at this moment i realised that i was in trouble. i forgot to get a webcam for my new system. so without further ado. id like some recommendations for an external webcam and functionality ect. Tia

yesterday I happened to be in walmart and saw onn2 webcam with a little ring light and 1440 resolution and it was only 12 bucks on clearance. only just plugged it in so don't know if it's any good.

before that I had been using a 13 year old logitech webcam. liked it because it zoomed in pretty close on my face so not as much distracting background.

I bought a Logitech Brio 4K on sale. Is it expensive? Definitely. Can you get something that looks just fine for cheaper? Definitely. Do I look great with it? Not really, because the image is true-to-life and detailed :c

Also some Android phones have a built-in feature letting you use their cameras as a USB webcam, and there's third-party software for phones that doesn't have it built in. Just something to think about if you have an extra lying around.
