I bought the top spec Aurora R16 for Black Friday, but lately it's been stuck in a cycle of BSOD and I can't keep it on for any length of time. They keep telling me it's a software issue and that I need to reinstall Windows, but it's clearly not because even the Dell OS Recovery is crashing and keeps showing completely white screens with colored blobs instead of any of the actual options. The hard drive has failed , too and I can't detect it when trying to reinstall Windows. How do I prove to that it's hw?

Is Dell Support Assist Installed? It can scan your hardware. You can also run windows 11 troubleshooter.

You can also hit F12 during startup, at the Boot Menu use the arrow keys to highlight diagnostics and press enter. Express diagnostics will run and report errors.

Use your phone and film the computer screen the troubles with the Recovery and the failed hard drive. Send them the clip.

If it's within one year I believe you are still under warranty and tech support should assist you if you call

There is a new bios I downloaded on mine the other day. Go into safe mode and see if you can get to desktop. check inside the machine and make sure no connections have come loose. Call dell support and let them remotely take a look.

Did this happen after a windows update? because m18 r1 was messed up for a week after a recent, somewhat big, windows update. If i were you, I'd call support or see if they have repair location near you where you can take it.

sounds like an overheating issue - might have been built without thermal paste or something. if you can't diagnose, a pro will have to do it for you.

Yeah, startup issues after the latest Windoze update, too. Also, always exhaust all other options before trying to fiddle with the internals on a machine that's still under warranty.
