D'oh!
Forgot the lil' glitch where it says the bid didn't go through, and you should check if it did or not by checking the ARP log (https://www.alienwarearena.com/account/arp-log).
Instead I tried to confirm the bid again, and again it said it didn't go through, but this time I remembered to check the ARP log, and it had taken the bid amount twice.
Don't do what Donny Don't does!
