it is great that over time they have gotten quieter almost to the point will be needing clear pannels to know they are working

Me too, as well. When I hear the fan when my computer's closed I just glance over to make sure I didn't leave the lid up. And then when I hear the fan during high usage I'm just like "Yup I know it's working!"
