Question to Game Vault Auction - Example highest bid is 10000, and second highest is 8000. the winner then loses 10000 or 8001 arps?

Why would the winner get a discount? As with most Auctions the high bid wins & pays what they bid. If more than one of said item is being auctioned, the second bidder wins & pays what they bid. (And so on if multiples are available.)

Don't bid what you can't afford to lose.

You pay what you bet for. No matter what other people bet.

Okay, thanks. It wasn't about bidding on something I don't have or getting a "discount." I'm just unsure how it works. On eBay, for example (well, that's a bit different, of course), it's 8001 instead of 10000.

<mention>excitingandwasted</mention> on eBay, you bit a max. The system bids the minimum over the current bit, and will increase your bid up to the max if others bid higher.
